Services - Mutual Aid

AMP-Ohio's Mutual Aid Program is a network of municipal electric systems that quickly and effectively provide needed assistance to member municipal systems when utility emergencies occur that are too widespread to be handled by one system alone.

Be it a tornado, snow or ice storm, flood, or fire, participants in this program stand ready to assist your community. The state is divided into five geographic mutual aid sectors. Each sector has a coordinator responsible for organizing emergency response efforts including communications, materials, labor, and equipment. Member systems desiring mutual aid need only make one phone call to AMP-Ohio's 24-hour Energy Control Center, and help will be on the way.

Participation in the program is voluntary and is enacted by passage of an ordinance in participating member communities.
